Miami is home to some of the best rum cocktails around – and the city’s sensational rum drinks are creations inspired by the sweet spirit’s diversity – silver, spiced, dark, aged or over-proofed.

White or silver rum is great in a mixed cocktail, such as in tropical drink favorites – Cuba Libre, Daiquiri, Pina Colada and Mojito.

For a spirit-forward cocktail, a barrel-aged dark or gold rum can stand-in for any traditional whiskey-based cocktail—such as an Old Fashioned or Manhattan.
